Carving a wooden spoon is a fantastic introduction to woodworking and sculpture, allowing you to explore line and form without a huge investment in machinery or material. I've wanted to put together a basic spoon carving kit for a while to help folks get into power carving more easily and Saburrtooth was kind enough to work with me on this project. The kit we put together includes four burrs: two coarse (green) shaping burrs and two extra fine (white) refining burrs. In combination with a flex shaft or a Dremel tool, you can easily carve just about any shape you have in your imagination.
