Recreate the classic pepperoni pizza 🍕 and prairie pudding 🍮 inspired by Ben 10. A fun kitchen activity.
Remember parental supervision is required when preparing these delicious treats at home!
Pizza Dough:
• 500g flour (4 cups)
• 300ml warm water (1 1/4 cups)
• 10g instant yeast (1 tbsp)
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 tbsp olive oil
Toppings:
• Prepared pizza sauce
• Sliced pepperoni
• Shredded mozzarella cheese
1. Mix the yeast with the sugar and warm water and let it sit for 10 minutes.
2. Add the flour, salt, and olive oil, and knead until the dough is smooth.
3. Cover the dough and let it rise for one hour.
4. Spread the dough in a pizza pan.
5. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough.
6. Distribute the mozzarella cheese.
7. Add the pepperoni slices.
8. Bake the pizza in a very preheated oven at 220–240 degrees Celsius for 12–15 minutes.
For the caramel:
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 tablespoons water
For the crème caramel mixture:
• 2 cups milk
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
First – Caramel:
1. Place the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Leave it undisturbed until it turns a golden caramel color.
3. Immediately pour it into the molds and let it cool.
Second – Crème Caramel Mixture:
1. Mix the milk, cornstarch, sugar, and vanilla before placing them over heat.
2. Place the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
3. Turn off the heat as soon as it reaches a smooth, creamy consistency.
Assembly and Serving:
1. Pour the mixture over the caramel in the molds.
2. Let it cool completely.
3. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
4. Stir and serve chilled.
