This circus has also been cited for more than 100 violations of the federal Animal Welfare Act, for things like failing to provide animals with adequate veterinary care, minimum space (which already isn't much), shelter from the elements, and clean water—the basic necessities for animals forced to live in captivity.
These animals are slaves: kept chained and caged for days on end, forced to do demeaning tricks under threat of a bullhook, and denied everything that's natural and important to them.
This isn't what people want, and that's why more than 600 venues nationwide have already banned circuses that use wild animals.
Tell venues and sponsors planning to host Carson & Barnes that you want it to perform without animals and ask them to commit to hosting only animal-free circuses in the future.
