Several surprises were awaiting me when I stopped at US-1294 Chippokes Plantation State Park @DCRVirginia in Surry, Virginia for a Parks On The Air (POTA) activation while heading down to Virginia on Saturday, August 09, 2025. Besides being near a nuclear power plant, the park has a very long history. Watch the video and see what happened on that day.
