Before you ask any questions , yes. I been doing good for now and kinda came back, but what else can you do in the quarantine anyway. Since there is nothing to do.
Also yes, Codename470 discovered a long time ago that you can mod Gamecube and he brought it back again. And it is actually easy to do like in the PC, only you actually get to see the files fully without have to use Watto. Which is required to modify on Cars PC, but Dolphin will do the job for you.
Anyway, we discoverd (or maybe before) that the Wii models can work in the GameCube version. Which it shares the same format model, and it actually worked! Although we did had to fix some textures, since some weren't listed in chars.mst and we had to add them manually from Wii chars.mst.
Other than that, everything else worked perfectly. Except we have to use custom load textures with Dolphin, since the textures doesn't replace entirely. But it works just fine in-game though, there will be more videos about this later.
