With a history dating back to 1908, Bergans of Norway has claimed many innovations over their incredible history (including the first external frame backpack). With an invite from our friend @backpackdesigner , Head of Design and Development Equipment, we just had to come check out the Bergan’s HQ just outside of Oslo, Norway. We met with the design team in their state of the art design lab, browsed through their incredible archive of 100+ year old products, and even got to design a backpack using virtual reality goggles and software. Plus, the talented Lasse whipped up a custom GORE-TEX cover for Taylor’s orthopedic boot to take up to the frozen Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Stay tuned for a whole lot more exciting stuff we’ve got in the works with Bergans in the near future.
