After nearly being struck by Lightning near Manning, IA we continued to follow this relatively weak supercellular storm as it tracked toward Carroll. While observing a broad shelf cloud feature develop we incorrectly determined that any tornado threat was all over. At between 40 and 48 seconds in this video a brief tornado produced damage 2 miles SW of Carroll. Video was trained on the parent circulation in case anything should happen. As it was already quite dark and since we were 10 miles to the south, any tornado feature present in this video is difficult to see, just a lowering of what would be the parent mesocyclone.
