In November 1979, CBC Vancouver presented the SuperSpecial CARROLL BAKER IN NASHVILLE,. The Canadian country-music superstar was the first Canadian to have her own Special taped at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee to an enthusiastic sold-out audience. Her guests included the Canadian singing ranger Hank Snow as well as The Oak Ridge Boys, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Conway Twitty and Minnie Pearl.
