The people yearn for the days of yore, and old methods of communication are now trendy again
A literal carrier pigeon app just popped up on the app store that sends messages exclusively by means of simulated birds
Digital “birds” get sent out based on your locational data, and travel between around 75 to 125 miles per hour to get to their destination
Birds can get lost or distracted, and you can track their flight paths in the app in real time
It’s essentially a dynamic timer that gets longer depending on how far away you are from the person you’re sending a message to, and there’s even a 0.2 percent chance the pigeon just straight up kicks the bucket during its journey
