While filming my Carousel of Progress video tribute (youtube.com/watch?v=WsrTpNz4kjM), I filmed a lot of close-up footage of each animatronic. Here is all of the footage of the star of the show, John (a.k.a. the Father), as he takes us throughout the 20th Century. This character is voiced by Jean Shepherd.
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress closes today for a major refurbishment, where the current show will be completely redone. We will miss this version of the Carousel of Progress, but we look forward to seeing the new version when it opens next year.
