Carnifex. The definition of big and ugly.
Avoid his pounce by dodging sideways. If you can execute a perfect dodge you will be able to get a gun strike for decent damage. The carnifex will go after you relentlessly. Stay light footed and use the hip fire.
About halfway through the fight the carnifex will begin shooting his barbs at you. If anticipated, an easy side step will be able to avoid them. He will usually shoot 3 volleys.
Don't forget about tyranid foot soldiers that spawn in. If you're lucky, Gadriel and Chairon will draw the carnifex's attention during the swarms.
The pyreblaster is in the room where the lights go out.
The plasma pistol fully charged shot deals high damage.
