This video is based of a section from Volume 8 of Carl Jung's Collected works. Psychic reality is a difficult concept to approach but the more we understand this idea, the more we realize that we can only ever perceive reality through our minds and hence the true nature of existence will be forever concealed from us. But perhaps more significantly, the mind does not seem to be made of matter. This is why Jung regarded the psyche as a real phenomenon and opposed the materialist view that consciousness is merely an illusion.
