For this month’s episode of Carhartt WIP Radio, we’ve got a selection of speedy Berlin techno, gabber, hardcore, and trance, courtesy of DJ Gigola and the label Live from Earth Klub. The independent company and artist collective is run by DJ Gigola alongside a close-knit group of dedicated musicians, and producers like Nene H, horsegiirL, MCR-T, Bauernfeind, or Kev Koko.
A Berlin native, DJ Gigola began rising through the ranks of the local dance scene in 2016. She became known for her versatile club sets, which featured everything from techno, house and percussive rhythms, to hit pop records. Since then, DJ Gigola has released a string of EPs, remixes and collaborative projects, sealing her reputation as a no-boundaries producer.
In anticipation of the release of her introspective dance album “Fluid Meditations”, DJ Gigola prepared a show for Carhartt WIP Radio, featuring Live From Earth Klub artists. She describes the mix as: “high-energy” and “influenced by a lot of our early hardcore and gabber parties” of the last decade. So, get on your dancing shoes and enjoy.
