The COVID pandemic that began in 2020 led to Bill Greer’s first role as a caregiver. His mother, who had health issues, was confined to her home and Greer ran errands for her.

Although it was a new and challenging experience, Greer was committed to caring for his mother just as she had cared for him when he was growing up.

This interview is part of the Detroit PBS series, "Caregiving Conversations," highlighting the experiences of caregivers.

Watch "One Detroit" Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. ET and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. ET on Detroit PBS (Channel 56). Stream "One Detroit" on-demand on the PBS App, YouTube TV, Hulu, and more.
