What do you imagine when you think about a career in science? If you think it can't be creative or interesting or that there's only one linear path, we'd like you to meet these four women whose jobs challenge these stereotypes. Intrigued? You can explore their stories in more detail here:

Terri Adams is one of the last scientific glassblowers to work in-house at a university. As the Glass Design and Fabrication Facility Manager at the University of Oxford, find out how she helps turn researchers' ideas into bespoke, functional lab equipment: youtu.be/YLHl8wmZKbw

Diana Scarborough is a multimedia artist who collaborates with researchers to create fascinating works of art. From dance performances to art installations, find out how she inspires people to engage with science in new ways: youtu.be/IvdYTSJL-gU

Fiona Travers is Senior Public Engagement Officer at the UK Astronomy Technology Centre. She uses her skills to make some of the most complex ideas about our universe interesting and relevant to the public, and hopes her work can help inspire those who wouldn't normally think of science as being for them. Find out more: youtu.be/xidw8qhtJPg

Emma Meehan is a Senior Science Support Technician at Boulby Underground Laboratory where she helps physicists build dark matter detectors. She works from one of the most interesting locations - her commute involves a seven-minute ride in a lift and a walk through a mine. Take a peek at her unusual office: youtu.be/gfZVKHV7O4g
