Carbuncle is an eidolon that Eiko can summon. After being learned from a Ruby, if Eiko equips a Moonstone as an add-on, summoning Carbuncle uses Pearl Light, which bestows Shell to the party. With the long summon animation, Carbuncle also gives Protect to everyone. One Moonstone is obtained in Conde Petie Mountain Path where Eiko first joins the party by finding colored stones and inserting them into a statue.
