Mat Marrash demonstrates a small portion of the carbon transfer process where warm, pigmented gelatin, aka "glop" is poured into a frame to make "carbon tissue". These tissues are later exposed to UV light, then the image is transferred onto a final support. Carbon transfer is a laborious process, but produces one of the most archivally stable photographic prints.
