The front speakers on my Jeep Cherokee (Liberty) were shot when I bought it, Here is a DIY car speaker repair to get them back in action for £5 each and a couple of hours.

I was going to just swap out the speakers for a pair of Kenwoods but when I took them out I found they were the posh ones with the individuals speaker mounted amps (Lucky me). So I bought a pair of replacement rubber 6.5" surrounds from ebay and set to work on and rough and ready DIY repair.

You can buy speciality glues to do this job and you should really put a specific tone through the speaker to centre it while gluing, I went maveric, used superglue and eyeballed it for centering.

Came out great and sounds brilliant. I did leave them to properly set overnight before putting them back in the Jeep!
