One of only 64 Special Equipment (SE) Lotus Cortinas ever built, this early model is a rare piece of Ford racing history.
Originally developed as personal transport for Ford race drivers and company executives, the SE featured an upgraded 115bhp engine, reworked head, green Lotus cam covers, and adjustable rear dampers.
This example retains its Colin Chapman–designed “A” frame rear suspension, alloy panels, original 5½” steel wheels, Irvin aircraft-style seat belts, and distinctive white-and-green finish.
Special thanks to Andrew Neil Automotive (Oamaru) for the Twin Cam rebuild and mechanical work, and to Steve Richards (Luggate) for panel, paint, and flooring restoration.
