A detailed review using the ThinkScan 689Bt Car Diagnostic scanner from ThinkCar. Used on 4 cars I had access to. A rare EV the Fisker Ocean (2023), an old Freelander 1 v6 (2003), an MG4 EV (2023) and a Porsche 4S Carrera (2017). All were successfully scanned apart from the MG4 which allowed OBDII general access but the diagnostic access to its modules was limited to just the Gateway module, access to the other modules seemed to be firewalled off. Hopefully this can be fixed later and the subject of another video.
Generally the unit performed well and fast and will be able to access many thousands of vehicles. I would say it has very good coverage for cars from the last 19 years. #fiskerocean #fisker #freelander #porsche911 #thinkscan #thinkcar #thinkscan689

For the Fisker, it reads and clears any error codes from 33 of the modules in the Fisker Ocean EV. It also supports a huge range of mainstream cars. Note that the dedicated Freesker tool for the Fisker Ocean also shows 33 modules, which shows how similar the Fisker Ocean is to the BAIC Arcfox. Both designed by Magna Steyr on a very similar platform.
