Sounds of my Grandparents Era
Caprice in E Flat Major composed by Henryk Wieniawski in 1862 and performed by violinist, Mischa Elman and accompanied by Raymond Bauman. Recorded by Victrola on 1928 and released on Victrola 1364-A 78 RPM 10 inch Record. Played on a Victrola Talking Machine with a Tungs-Tone Stylus. Videography by Dane C. Sorensen.

There are probably far better sounding recordings of this, but this video gives you an idea what an average persons in the 1920s would have been able to listen to on their home talking machine. This record belonged to my Grandparents - Frederick and Genevieve Robertson
