"Capim Canela" by the Super Fantastics and Dave Santucci. Last year I had the pleasure of collaborating with the Super Fantastics on their album "Home." I really love this song. It was extra fun because the awesome singer/drummer/songwriter Daniel Scharff gave me liberty to write some of my own whistling parts for the brief interlude portions of the song.

This song is about one of the most magical times of Daniel’s life when he stayed in rural Brazil at a frat house called Capim Canela. The friendships he made there with the engineering students from the local university taught him what true kindness and brotherhood is. When we were recording, Daniel told me he wanted to capture the feeling of that magical happiness he felt during his days at Capim Canela in this song.
