About 5 years ago I released the song "Canyon" with Yemen Producer David Far. The lyrics of "Canyon" convey a strong anti-war message throughout. The opening chorus sets the tone by emphasizing the desire to escape the destructive forces of war and political manipulation in favor of a future marked by heartfelt unity. The verses paint vivid imagery of seeking refuge, unity, and hope in the face of adversity, contrasting with the imposing image of a colossal wall representing division and the plight of "lost souls" trapped in a metaphorical canyon. Overall, the song serves as a poignant plea for peace and unity, denouncing the divisive consequences of war and the need for a more harmonious future.
I believe the themes of "Canyon" remain highly relevant in today's world, as the song's anti-war message and call for unity resonate with ongoing global conflicts, political divisions, and societal challenges. In the context of contemporary events, the song serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking peaceful solutions to conflicts, combating political manipulation, and working towards a future marked by empathy and cooperation. The image of a "million-mile-high wall" and "lost souls in a canyon" can symbolize the deep divides and suffering caused by ongoing conflicts and political polarization. "Canyon" underscores the enduring need for peace, unity, and collective efforts to bridge societal gaps and build a better world.

Lyrics:
This is the beginning of me letting go, letting go
You dont really love me, you dont even see me, you dont even really know
This is the beginning of me burning slow
Like a forest fire, the trees are flaming on the patio
Everybody lies, everybody cries
This is not what I had hoped to be
The ship sails and my heart wails in the middle of a dead sea
Everybody rise look at my disguise this is not what Im supposed to be
With arms out let the rain fall down on the heart of a burning tree
Everybody tries look in my eyes this is not what I had hoped to be
We planted seeds let the roots grow deep
Set flames for a burning tree This is the beginning of me letting go, letting go
I took a match burned the whole place down
Nothing left of the chateau this is the beginning of me burning slow
You poured gasoline on top of my head down to my toes Everybody rise look at my disguise this is not what Im supposed to be
With arms out let the rain fall down on the heart of a burning tree Everybody tries look in my eyes this is not what i had hoped to be
We planted seeds let the roots grow deep
Set flames for a burning tree
Everybody rise look at my disguise this is not what Im supposed to be
With arms out let the rain fall down on the heart of a burning tree
Everybody tries look in my eyes this is not what I had hoped to be
We planted seeds let the roots grow deep
Set flames for a burning tree (x2)

![Shavon - We Might Be Crazy (Original Song)
🌌 We Might Be Crazy —
Original Song: We Might Be Crazy
Singer-Songwriter-Producer- Visual Artist and Editor: Shavon
A Sound Legion Production
We Might Be Crazy is a reimagined song that began over a decade ago under a different name. The original version was created during my time in the Steemit music community, built around raw piano and beatboxing recorded in an empty church by another artist. I wrote the lyrics and vocals for that piece, and although we never went on to collaborate further due to misunderstandings, the song stayed with me — unfinished, unresolved, but powerful.
This year, I returned to the song with new clarity.
Using my original lyrics and vocal recordings, I rebuilt the track from the ground up with a completely new instrumental. The vocals didn’t initially fit the new structure, so I reshaped the song — moving phrases, re-timing emotion, and allowing the words to land differently than they did ten years ago. What emerged feels like a dialogue between past and present selves.
Musically, We Might Be Crazy lives in a dark, atmospheric alternative-rock space. A steady 4/4 pulse, distorted bass, cinematic textures, and a melancholic piano motif create a sense of tension and motion. The vocals move between restraint and release — intimate, gritty, and at times expansive — reflecting inner fragmentation, awakening, and surrender.
🎬 The Video Concept
The accompanying video combines stock footage with AI-generated imagery to tell a symbolic story:
A woman in space approaches Neptune. She watches images of war, violence, and global unrest on a floating tablet — the noise and trauma of the world — before throwing it away. Choosing detachment over despair, she steps onto the edge of her spacecraft and jumps. She dives into Neptune’s violent winds, eventually clinging to a drifting asteroid suspended within the planet itself.
The imagery reflects both personal and collective consciousness. Neptune — long associated with illusion, dreams, confusion, empathy, and spiritual dissolution — mirrors the closing of its era in Pisces. The jump represents letting go of overwhelming narratives, collapsing identities, and inherited fear.
“We might be crazy” isn’t an admission of madness — it’s the question that arises when old systems stop making sense, and awareness begins to shift.
🎶 Lyrics — We Might Be Crazy
[Intro]
(Instrumental)
[Verse 1]
Float beneath the lines
Oh Ive been gone
Away
Rise beneath the lies
Oh Ive been gone
[Chorus]
Free my disguise
Im stuck in the middle
Of my demise
Theres serpents in my head
And they fade from black to red
Are you sitting down
Im spinning round
We might be crazy
[Verse 2]
Float beneath the lines
Oh Ive been gone
Away
Rise beneath the lies
Oh Ive been gone
[Outro]
We might be crazy
We might be crazy
