I think I have found the best pastelmat paper ever Canson Velvet paper - and NO its not Pastelmat! (see my pastel paper review on this video) . Canson Mi-Teintes Velvet
Pastelmat has had real quility issues for as long as I have been using it - when the paper is good its wonderful to use, but frequently its poor quality.
The NEW Canson velvet paper I have tested worked perfectly for me - check out the video and see the drawing I created using it ! It can be used for pastels creating wonderful layers and detailed drawings.
