Our first tests with the Canon XF200 (XF205) camcorder, using it in "full auto" mode.

Tests include auto focus, auto exposure, zoom, highlight and shadow handling, and CMOS skew.

As it was a really bright sunny day, by and large the camcorder switched in -6dB of gain of its own accord; the shutter seemed mostly to hover around 1/50th or 1/100th, and a 1/8th ND was engaged a lot of the time (all under the camera's control)
