I took the Fuji S1730 back the argos,
after getting it replaced with another fuji,it STILL had the sound issue with HD movies ( a high pitched whining sound )
,anyway bought a Canon PowerShot SX20 IS yes its twice as expensive as the fuji.
yes the movie is dark, the point is the audio,on this occasion.
wich is perfect.
evantually i took the SX 20 IS back also,
and bought a DSLR.
