Somewhere between Marfa and nowhere… art was made.

Watch as Canon Explorer of Light Dixie Dixon steps into the fine art world. There’s something poetic about her beginning this journey beside Prada Marfa — a permanent art installation built in the middle of the West Texas desert in 2005 by artists Elmgreen & Dragset. A luxury storefront placed where luxury has no business being. Strange. Cinematic. Timeless. Completely West Texas.

Dixie and her team spent days chasing dust, weather, longhorns, light, and those little moments you can’t plan for.

For Dixie, this project feels less like a photoshoot and more like the beginning of a new chapter. West Texas has a way of stripping things down to what matters—and we think that’s exactly why artists keep returning to it.
