Rich reviews the Canon EOS M6 and finds out that it is very similar to the recent EOS 200D; it is the Dual Pixel AF that gives the EOS M6 an edge. In terms of image quality the sensor is good, without ever being remarkable.

One of the big annoyances for many is that the front facing screen is obscured when you mount a microphone on the hotshoe.. not ideal for vlogging.
The in-camera audio is generally ok, but you can get away without having to mount a microphone on the hotshoe. In the video you can see a very cheap microphone that is on a flexi-arm. it is actually designed for use with a laptop. We found it on eBay for around £5. The sound from this microphone isn't great (we'll probably do another video on this in the future), but it is more directional and cuts out some background noise... and hey, its £5 so its an affordable solution.
Slightly better is to use the mic from the DJI Osmo. again this plugs directly in to the mic socket and is on a little arm, however it fasces to the side, so you will need to curl a little bit of wire around to make it front facing.
There are other solutions, such as mounting the microphone to an arm or plate, or even to the Gorillapod or monopod that you are vlogging with. However, the best solution we have found is to use a TRRS to TRS right angle adapter. This is basically a audio connector that allows for a microphone designed for a smartphone to be used with a standard mic socket. If you then plug the Rode VideoMic Me in to the right angle adapter you have a fully fledged Rode Microphone mounted to the side of the camera, and you are free to use the flip up screen and still get quality audio.
