After shooting a short timelapse from the same location, I wanted to shoot a short clip using the camera's video mode, just to test things out at night. 1080p, 24fps, ISO 3200 (I didn't want to go that high, but my lens was too slow to allow me to get enough light in at ISO 1600, or so it seemed). It's a little grainy. Okay, it's a lot grainy. Odd, since the timelapse didn't appear grainy. But maybe that's because the timelapse was shot with a much lower ISO and a much slower shutter speed. Ah yes. Of course that's why. I have so much to learn. Now, as for all the lens flares and reflections, I'm wondering how much of that was caused by the steamy night (and perhaps some fogging up of the lens) and how much was due to my having a cheap-o Bower UV filter screwed on to the lens. Man, I have so much to learn about this stuff. :-)
