Nick Driftwood | Canon 60D with Sigma 180mm Macro - Eye Test @driftwoodtv | Uploaded December 2010 | Updated October 2024, 13 hours ago.
This HD eye test with the canon 60D and Sigma 180mm Macro APO DG HSM Lens shows just how sharpe this lens can go. On a APS-C sensor cam like the 60D you can expect a 180mm lens to act as a 288mm macro lens. The distance from lens to subject was about 40cms on a 1:1 aperture. Lovely bokeh with this lens, easy to focus, solid, sturdy if not a bit weighty. Camera was tripod mounted, any movement you see is the subject. A macro lens will show up even the slightest movement. Note: The Youtube compression doesn't do it justice. Music by Kevin Mathews.
