Kyle Parker is on a mission. After setting the record for the fastest time solo canoeing the Wisconsin River, he set his sights on paddling 'tip to tip' across America. We've built a boat for him that we think will get the job done -- a custom Cruiser 17.8 with multiple unique features designed to make him as efficient as possible.

Who am I:
My name is Kyle Parker and I am 24 years old. In September of 2024 I set the Fastest Known Time Solo Canoeing the Entire Wisconsin River. My passion for canoeing started in 2019 when I worked a summer job in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota. Throughout college I had many summer jobs focused in and around the outdoors. During my free time I am an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyer of the outdoors. I graduated from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a BA in Business with an emphasis in finance in 2023. An unlikely degree for someone who enjoys the outdoors and schemes up great adventures like this one, but it has helped me get a taste of financial freedom, enough so that I am able to go without a job for 6-8 months. With the help of many great sponsors! I also was active in many clubs such as the Downhill Ski Club and Fly Fishing Club during college.
As a social person I am most worried about the long hours of being completely alone, possibly for days on end without seeing another person. However, in my recent journey down the Wisconsin River, I know I'm not actually alone. My friends and family will be cheering me on from home. I also know there are countless River Angles I have yet to meet!
After setting the Fastest Known Time Solo Canoeing the Wisconsin River (421 miles in 5 days and 19 hours) I was looking for something more. I found on this trip I enjoyed the challenge both physically and mentally, however I did not have the time to embrace the experience and enjoy the journey as much as I hoped. One of my mottos over the last few years has been that I never want to look back at my life and think “I wish I would have…” something I have been hearing more and more from both my peers and those further down the river of life. In pursuit of this goal, to have no regrets, I came up with this idea that some have called “crazy, hairbrained, and insane” to name a few. Much like the Native Americans, Lewis and Clark, and many other great explorers, I am traveling by canoe in hopes of reconnecting to nature and experiencing the world one stroke at a time. Along with traveling from Tip2Tip solo and no planned support, I hope to catch as many different fish as I can!
Cheers,
Kyle
