A few months ago I had the opportunity to ride the Tren Maya from Cancun to Merida! I was very impressed with the trains, tracks, stations, and overall ride quality. Currently they are running the trains in diesel mode, but it will be better when they finish electrifying the route! The trains are called X'Trapolis Tsíimin K'áak and are designed by Alstom and built in Mexico.
