A select group of leaders across science, medicine, policy, technology, finance, and philanthropy will seek to chart a new path for the future of cancer prevention, research, and care and assess how the cancer model of discovery can accelerate breakthroughs across all diseases.
This gathering coincides with a pivotal milestone: the 55th anniversary of the National Cancer Act, landmark legislation signed by President Nixon that transformed the nation’s approach to cancer and set in motion decades of scientific and clinical progress. As we mark this anniversary, the central question is how we harness today’s scientific and technological capabilities to drive the next era of discovery. The anniversary is both a reminder of what coordinated national action can achieve and a call to design the next generation of systems, strategies, and partnerships needed to accelerate biomedical progress.

Yet our systems for research, delivery, and regulation were built for an earlier era. Without thoughtful and intentional coordination, we risk leaving transformative capabilities underutilized and unevenly deployed.
