Unfortunately we have had to cancel this readathon. It brought up some topics that some people in the community deemed hurtful and an attack. I still want to leave up my video because this conversation brought up prompts 1,2,5, and 6. This was supposed to foster conversation but instead the door was shut on it. I would like to continue this conversation in the comments and if you would still like to participate please let me know! Maybe we can do a discord for it!!
The goal of this readathon is to turn our cancel culture into positives and will be going on from November 1-15. To complete this readathon, you must complete at least 5 prompts. Of course one book can work as multiple prompts or you can read one book for each prompt, it’s completely up to you! Follow all of the hosts and watch their announcement videos and TBRs, so you can get some great recommendations. Now on to the prompts

2. Back in my day people weren’t so sensitive - read a banned book
3. How could you even read that? - choose 4 books that are deemed problematic and let your friends choose on social media
4. If you don’t read the classics you're not a real reader - choose a book from a genre you don’t normally read
5. Shady subtweets - read a book that was turned into a movie or TV show everyone hated
6. Canceling a friend - read a friend’s favorite book that you normally wouldn’t like
7. Audiobooks don’t count as reading - read an audiobook, manga, or comic
8. You spend too much money on books - read a library book or borrow one from a friend
9. I can’t relate so… three stars - read a book by a marginalized creator
