Over the 180 years that followed, together, we shaped a powerful story of resilience, connection, and nation-building.
“Canada-Ireland 180” is a major cultural and commemorative initiative marking 180 years since 1847 — a defining moment in the shared history of Ireland and Canada. It is a partnership between the Government of Canada and the Government of Ireland and will take place throughout 2027, with the programme launch planned for Q4 2026.
