I did “nothing” to see if I could beat the first part of story mode anyway. Well, as much of nothing as I could. Of course I still take my turn and get stars, certain board events needing action (I keep my inputs to a minimum), and as a bonus the boss (I’m gonna be slightly rusty on each since it’s been years). But nothing else!
On a few minigames earlier I may have accidentally made an input since I was tapping A to keep things going constantly while reading a book, but it didn’t change anything.
Why I am playing as Toad instead of Yoshi or Luigi? Cause I never unlocked his character figure! So might as well.
Any pauses are when I had to do something else or take a break.
I was laughing and almost shouting YES and FINALLY when I finally WON, it was THE MOMENT Daisy did her last turn without landing on a stupid duel space!! AHHH I was so glad!!
THIS TOOK FIVE HOURS!! It’s so rigged against you if you let the CPUs have enough coins, and will favor one particular CPU (especially Peach??) to get the most stars really easily. Despite this being the very first board and it meaning to be easy… I am never doing this again. Well, at least not on this board. Guess the others are worth a try, if I ever even make it past the second. I’ll just be trying that one in the background now…
