What does Jesus mean when He says "he who endures to the end will be saved" in Matthew 24:13?
Much of Scripture has been hijacked by wrong theology due to philosophical presuppositions, seeking to interpret passages from a Western mindset, and attempting to spiritualize or allegorize its meaning. When we understand the passage within the literary genre, cultural context, and surrounding context, we often discover that what we've heard doesn't match with what God's word actually says.
This is the case with Matthew 24:13, where some teach that if you don't endure in good works, faith, love, or obedience, then either you lose your eternal life, or you never truly had it. But is that really what Matthew 24:13 means?
This video uncovers the cultural context surrounding Matthew 24:13 and how a Jewish perspective is vital in properly understanding these words of Jesus.
