Every few months, I organize a way for the community to get involved by participating in a domino-related challenge. This time, we’re doing a domino trick challenge! Build any kind of domino trick, whether it’s an existing trick, modified trick, or a completely new trick! New and modified domino tricks will get bonus points though, so I encourage you to try to make something unique! Let’s see what innovative tricks will come out of this challenge! Thanks to @micajodomino for suggesting this challenge!
For the context of this challenge, a domino trick can be defined as, “a specific, easily replicable method of arranging dominoes to create an interesting topple, different from the standard domino line or structure.”
RULES AND GUIDELINES:
🔹 Build any kind of domino trick you’d like!
🔹 The trick should use only dominoes (no outside objects, but string and tape are allowed)
🔹 BONUS POINTS if you invent a completely new trick or modify an existing trick!
🔹 Modified tricks that combine multiple tricks together must be seamlessly combined into ONE individual trick (two individual tricks connected by a domino line will not count)
🔹 Your entry must include (at minimum) a clear video your domino trick toppling, but you may also include other things like a tutorial (strongly encouraged so the community can try building it!), your process on how you invented the trick, using the trick on a larger scale or in other ways, etc. The format of the video is up to you - just make sure to show the trick toppling!
🔹 Optional: Feel free to record a quick intro if you’d like! Example: “What’s up domino community, I’m [name/username], and today I’ll be toppling [trick name] for The Domino Trick Challenge.”
🔹 Entries will be judged based on the innovativeness of the trick itself (not the video as a whole)
🔹 Must be a new video
🔹 Film your video horizontally in widescreen (16:9)
🔹 Only ONE entry allowed per person.
🔹 Only ONE trick allowed per entry.
🔹 Must be 13 years or older or have a parent’s permission to submit your video
🔹 Deadline to submit an entry is Sunday, August 31st at 11:59PM ET
🔹 Have fun :)
SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO (2 STEPS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
1) Post your video on social media (YouTube or Instagram) using the hashtag #H5dominocommunity in your caption. If you submit your entry through YouTube, please include how you'd like to be credited (name/username) in the video title (example:
#H5dominocommunity Domino Trick Challenge - [your name/username]. If you submit through Instagram, make sure your account is not set to private, otherwise, please submit a YouTube video link.
2) Submit the video link at Hevesh5.com/submissions by Sunday, August 31st at 11:59PM ET for a chance to be included in the final compilation video. NOTE: I cannot guarantee that all videos submitted will make it into the final compilation. Please double check that you’ve followed all rules and guidelines!

It’s time for another Collaborative Community Compilation! At the end of each year, I organize a way for the community to get involved by participating in a domino-related challenge! This time, the challenge is to make the coolest domino screenlink clip using 100 dominoes or less!
RULES AND GUIDELINES
🔹NO accessories, bridges, fieldstarters, chain reaction accessories, or any other external objects
🔹NO string or tape
🔹ONLY 100 dominoes are allowed (use any kind of domino you have, but solid-colored toppling dominoes are preferred). If you need to use more dominoes to extend the “in-line” and “out-line” beyond what is visible on camera, that is acceptable (in other words, only 100 dominoes should be visible in your video when you film it)
🔹The “in-line” should come in from the left side and the “out-line” should go out on the right side
🔹Use white dominoes for the “in-line” and “out-line” so it looks continuous when the screenlink clips are edited together. If you don’t have white dominoes, use yellow or any other color you have! No problem if it’s a different color.
🔹Use a tripod (or prop your camera up on something) to keep the camera still when you film. Make sure the first and last few dominoes aren’t shown (if needed, use 10 extra dominoes at the start and end that go beyond the camera frame)
🔹You should not be visible in your entry! We shouldnt be able to see you start the in-line, or at any point during the falldown.
🔹Only ONE screenlink clip allowed per person
🔹You must be 13 years or older or have a parent’s permission to submit your video
SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRY
🔹Post your video on YouTube and/or social media using the hashtag #H5dominocommunity
🔹Submit the video link (preferably YouTube link) at http://Hevesh5.com/submissions to be added to the full YouTube playlist of entries, and for a chance to be included in the final screenlink video. I cannot guarantee that all videos submitted will make it into the final screenlink compilation, although I will try to include as many as I can!
🔹The deadline to submit your video is Wednesday, January 20th, 2021 at 11:59PM EST.

Once the entry period closes, I will choose my 3 favorite screenlink clips! 3 winners will receive one of the following:
