In this video, Soundiron founders Mike Peaslee and Gregg Stephens take a trip to the physical campus of Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA. Despite having over 25 years of professional experience in music software and pro audio, Mike and Gregg are currently remote, asynchronous evening students at Foothill—balancing full-time work at Soundiron with continuing education.
Join them as they tour the fully-functional, state-of-the-art recording studios, walk the beautiful campus grounds, and pull out their gear for some fun, spontaneous field recording in the Music Tech department courtyard and at the main campus fountain.
They discuss their journey toward earning an AA degree in Music Technology and an Avid Pro Tools certification, explaining why breaking old habits, staying sharp, and continuing career development is vital for everyone—no matter how long you've been in the game.
One of the best parts about Foothill College’s Music Tech program is its accessibility. They accept entirely remote students, allowing you to earn an AA degree in Music Technology asynchronously from anywhere in California, the United States, or globally!
