The class I was in, had students from different nationalities, meaning students had diverse cultural and psychological beliefs but it was shocking to me that no one had raised their hand.
I believe there must be someone else in the room who could not muster up the courage to raise their hand.
But, I do not think that "everyone can become anyone they just *WANT TO BE*". Having said that, I firmly believe that everyone can become whatever they want to be, provided they believe in that idea and are ready to put work into it, BUT, I would never tell my children (if and when I have them) that the statement, "You can become whatever you want to be" is a MYTH.
Even if I do not end up being whatever I want to be, I would still say it's a FACT.
