This one is going to be more of an op-ed type.
I've always hated this presumption that people on the left don't genuinely care about things. This is distinct from whether or not someone is a grifter, but rather the idea that no one could possibly care about the things people on the left claim to care about. It's an insidious way the right tries to get people to tune us out entirely.
This video is light on sources because these are mostly my own opinions. Undoubtedly influenced by people I've watched in the past, but I had nothing and no one specific in mind when I was writing this. If you see echoes of someone in it, feel free to leave a comment below. Maybe (probably) someone has said all this better than I have here.
