Zeb's sharing what you need to know: Paper wasps are highly aggressive when they feel their nest is threatened. Unlike honeybees, they can sting multiple times, and a disturbed colony will come out fast.
But here's the wild part: some paper wasps (although not the species that built this nest here) can actually recognize individual human faces. Research has shown that they use the same feature-processing approach we do — distinguishing one another by their unique facial markings. It's remarkable.
And even though they are intimidating, they aren't pests. They are part of a healthy ecosystem. Just give them the space they need.
