Can two fire-damaged ColecoVision cartridges from my house fire be saved? Both are copies of Looping, a ColecoVision version of a 1982 arcade game, and before testing I recalled one of them was already dead. I'm unsure which one it was though...
In this video I break the melted cartridge shells apart, inspect the PCBs, clean both boards in an ultrasonic cleaner, remove burnt plastic from the edge connector, use a fibreglass pencil on the contacts, fit the boards into 3D printed ColecoVision cartridge shells, make replacement Looping labels in Photoshop and with a Cricut Maker 3, and test both cartridges.
