In this challenge, I start with a spall of Fort Payne chert from North Alabama and put myself on the clock to see if I can turn it into a finished serrated hunting point before time runs out. Fort Payne chert is one of the most respected knappable materials in the Southeast, but can I work fast enough to create a point that I’d actually be proud to carry into the woods?
