After years of sewing and selling handmade bags online, one thing I’ve learned is this…
life doesn’t stop just because you have orders to finish.
In today’s sew and ship vlog, I’m balancing handmade business life during graduation weekend while trying to finish 2 custom Bible carrier orders before the post office closes.
One customer requested custom embroidered letters for her daughter’s Bible carrier and then added a last minute zipper pocket request while I was already sewing the order. I really wanted to ship both packages the same day, but sometimes in business you have to slow down, communicate with your customers, and focus on quality over rushing.
I also show how I make zipper pockets because so many beginner bag makers tell me they struggle with that part of sewing bags.
And honestly… I’m still emotional from my daughter Selae graduating from LSU. 💜
This video is about sewing, motherhood, creativity, customer service, entrepreneurship, and learning how to stay consistent even when life is busy.
If you’re building a handmade business while balancing real life…
I hope this video encourages you.
