By name, we're the United States of America. Most days it feels like the divided states. One in three Americans say they've lost a relationship over politics — so how is a follower of Christ actually supposed to live in the middle of it?
This message makes an uncomfortable case: too many of us have become party first, country second, and kingdom last, and it's backwards. We were never meant to fight our neighbors. Scripture points to a bigger enemy than any candidate or party (Ephesians 6.12) and a kingdom that can't be shaken (Hebrews 12.28).
From there, we pull three dividing forces down to an observable level: the algorithm that profits off your outrage, the assumptions that quietly turn whole groups of people into enemies, and the extremes — far left and far right — that distort how we see reality. The answer isn't to disengage or stop caring. It's to lead with the kingdom, guard your mind (Romans 12.2), and detox from the noise long enough to hear God clearly again.
