Edit - in case it wasn't clear enough in this video, the idea is to have dismemberment activated on instances where it's reasonable to not be able to revive the character, like a direct hit from an RPG or a tank shell. If a sniper headshot can prevent a revive, a direct strong explosive hit can too.
A comment I saw quite a bit is wishing that Battlefield series introduced more significant gore mechanics. Having played the Battlefield 6 beta, I can honestly see that happening.
This video is an analysis of the character response mechanics in Battlefield 6, a suggestion that I could perhaps see them implementing in the game, and further discussion on how a dismemberment feature could be implemented.
