Can you use a non-tubeless tire, tubeless?
The answer is a hard no, and there’s a very good reason for that… A tubeless system consists of a number of different components including, wheels, rims, tape, valves, tyres and sealant. Tubeless ready products are all manufactured in compliance with strict industry standards and tolerances, so if just one part of your setup isn’t intended for tubeless use, then the whole system won’t be safe to use. The last thing you want is a tyre rolling off the rim when cornering, so if you want to run tubeless, always make sure you’re only using tubeless compatible products. CUT THIS LINE
For WTB products, just look for the TCS logo.
If you see the logo, it’s tubeless ready. If there’s no logo, you’ll need to run innertubes. It's probably worth noting here that putting an innertube in a tubeless tyre is totally ok. Tubeless ready tyres can either be run tubeless or with inner tubes.
Non-tubeless tyres must only be used with innertubes.
