Can AI Really Talk to Animals?
In this livestream I examine the growing claims that AI has begun decoding dolphin, whale, and other animal languages. From Project CETI’s work with sperm whales to Google’s DolphinGemma and other initiatives — how close are we really to genuine interspecies communication?
I also share what years of living with Bow has taught me about the real challenges and possibilities of cross-species understanding, including the time Bow complained about mice I couldn’t even hear.
We discuss:
• What current AI animal language research actually shows
• The difference between pattern recognition and true understanding
• Why even advanced communication doesn’t automatically mean animals should have human-style rights in our societies
