The question of the origin of consciousness is fundamental to the understanding of the world, and an indication that physical reality is not all what there is!
However, recently, the endeavor to manufacture consciousness by creating self-aware Artificial Intelligence has been looming between fact and fiction!
Is it really possible to have a singularity and find that self-awareness can "emerge" from silicon, or it is not possible because consciousness is not a physical phenomena?
I have a discussion with Dr. @WorldviewDesignOfficial around the topics, between his research as a philosopher who has studied philosophy of mind and writing a book about consciousness, and my expertise as an electronics and communications engineer with a career in information systems.
